Overview
Throughout the course, my team and I had the opportunity to explore how local communities and entrepreneurial support groups contribute to the development and sustainability of early-stage entrepreneurs. We approached the project not just as students, but as collaborators in a startup environment, applying project management strategies commonly used in early-stage companies to guide our work. As an agency, we chose to focus on Savannah, Georgia, a city that offered a manageable scope for in-depth research within our timeline. We began by conducting comprehensive research on Savannah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, presenting our findings to peers for feedback and refinement. To deepen our insights, we connected directly with individuals involved in local programs through Zoom interviews, which allowed us to validate our research and fill in gaps. Using all the collected data, we built a detailed Entrepreneurial Ecosystem map using the Kumu platform, providing a visual and practical tool for stakeholders in Savannah to better understand and navigate their startup landscape.
