Overview
For our UX project report, my team and I conducted an in-depth analysis of the websites for Magic Spoon and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, evaluating their design principles, user experience, and usability. We examined Magic Spoon’s vibrant use of color and engaging visuals that promote its healthy cereal products in a fun, modern way. In contrast, we analyzed how the Met’s site functions as a seamless digital extension of the museum, emphasizing high-quality imagery, intuitive navigation, and interactive features that enhance user engagement. In addition to this analysis, we collaboratively developed a detailed user persona to guide our design thinking.
We gathered insights through surveys, interviews, and usability studies to identify patterns in user behavior, needs, and pain points. The persona helped us craft realistic usage scenarios, allowing us to empathize with users and make informed design decisions throughout the project. This process provided valuable insights into effective UX design across vastly different sectors and strengthened our ability to create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences.
